Don't be confused (Internet Marketing Tips and Techniques)

Internet marketing can be a bit confusing for people. I haven't even been able to study and master all of the different methods and techniques of internet marketing. Because When I tried, I just got confused, I would rather just stick to what I am comfortable with doing. The age old adage of taking one step at a time. For the most part though, all internet marketing is, is just simply advertising and promoting a service or a product to people that are on the internet searching for that service or product.

Internet marketing can and may include techniques such as email marketing, search engine marketing, social media marketing, display advertising, and mobile advertising, just to name a few. To break down internet marketing you would have to actually attend a class. Maybe even several classes. And believe it or not they do have classes and courses that will teach you the basics and advanced strategies of internet marketing. But why pay for free information? If you are serious about getting into this multi-billion dollar a year industry, your efforts to learn and implement should be sincere and you should succeed. I say should, because from beginning to success is going to take time, patience, and good ole hard work.

How many of you know that the first internet marketing method that became successful was e-mail marketing? Yes e-mail. And it was done in the 70's.

 If you were an adult or 18 & up towards the end of the 70's then more than likely you didn't know about the internet. The first mass e-mail was sent out to lots of people and a lot of them didn't like receiving these e-mails.It went against the acceptable use policy that was in place then. So that was the creation of what we now call 'spam' today.

Spamming is a practice I don't condone. It's a violation to the person receiving it. It's annoying and people will ban you, report you. and give nasty feedback. I am a man of principle and there is no way that I support any kind of 'black hat' techniques just to make a few dollars. So if you don't know what spam or spamming is just know that its not something an honest person would get involved in.

Don't get overwhelmed by all of the information that pops up when you google something about internet marketing. If you find a website that suits your liking, stick to that one website as your go to for information. Because there is a lot of information out there for this subject, and 80% of it is foolery.
