FOCUS
I say focus because the internet can be so overwhelming with all of its' information. And also to let you know that you must have the correct mindset. You must consciously stay focused on exactly what you are marketing. If you are not focused on what you are doing, it's very very very easy to get distracted. Especially if you don't TOTALLY understand what internet marketing is from start to finish. What is it exactly, that you want to do. Is what you must stay focused on.
Did you say to make a lot of money fast?
I hope not.
You have to pick a subject that you enjoy in life. Your subject will be your niche. Rather that be sports, politics, nature, ect. Anything you enjoy talking about or doing or both. The reason why all the "gurus" say you must have a passion for the niche you choose is because whatever a persons' passion is they usually have a more than mediocre understanding of whatever that passion may be. Once you have done that then it's on to promoting that niche, as it is called.
I, myself am a genuine individual who has a determination for internet marketing success, but I'm a painter by trade.
and so I can market about the ins and outs of the auto-body lifestyle all day everyday.
I'm also a certified forklift operator (reach, stand-up, sit-down, cherry-picker, clamp)
so I can also market about different experiences on different lifts.
I'm a parent I can market about the joys and pains of being a father.
I'm a black man with felony convictions on my record. I could market and market about how hard it is out here in the U.S. not only as a black man, but a black man with felonies. That subject is a doorway to a whole mess of sub-categories of the same subject, that for me, at this point in my life, is a little too emotional.
Anything that you have life experiance with can be a great subject that can be marketed about, talked about, and ranted and raved about. So if you have found a subject that you would like to be called your niche, find success in that one subject first before you move on to another.
You stick to one niche when you are just beginning and learning how everything operates. Create a folder on your computer named after that niche. You must create a folder to put all of the different pictures, articles, notes, ect. that have anything to do with the niche of the campaign you are now running. To be able to decipher all of your different niches that you may create in the future, each subject shall be a campaign.Your niche could be shoes. So you create a folder named shoes. This shoes folder shall be your shoes campaign, and so you may want to label your folder 'shoes campaign'.
In this folder you are going to store different pictures of shoes and anything that has to do with shoes that you have researched and compiled. Now you have to decide whether you want to use the free methods or the paid methods or both for marketing your new campaign. I would suggest that you save yourself some trouble and invest in your business. Because thats exactly what you are creating. A business. All of the major companies that are on the stock exchange pay for their advertising. In knowing that little bit of knowledge you should know that if you want to get major paper you're going to have to spend something. But if you are curious as to how this whole process works then try the free methods until your heart is content. Either way you are going to learn some things and you're going to put in a little bit or a lot of work.
